The webinar is LQMs classic training course now delivered online over 2 half days.
The Environment Agency’s Remedial Targets Methodology and Worksheet provide a framework for assessing the risks to controlled waters from land contamination, and for deriving site-specific remedial targets for contaminated soils and groundwater where those risks are unacceptable.
The course will teach delegates
By the end of the course you should be:
• Familiar with the sources of information available to develop an initial CSM for assessing risks to controlled waters from land contamination
• Aware of the tiered framework for assessing risks to controlled waters from land contamination and deriving remedial targets
• Aware of the types of solute fate and transport models used in each tier of the remedial targets worksheet, along with their assumptions and limitations
• Aware of the input parameters required by the remedial targets worksheet
All delegates will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance – which should be retained and used to provide evidence of CPD activity when required by employers or professional bodies.
This is an introductory course equally suited for those without any chemistry background or those who require a refresher course relevant to their current job activities.

"Very happy with the course as a whole. It demystifiyed the RT spreadsheet and the thinking behind it. Links to up-to-date sources of EQS values also very useful. Judith covered everything with the right level of detail and made sure that the entire group was up to speed before moving on, making sure that no one was left behind. The material covered in the course will definitely be of use in our project work." (Consultant)
"The course was very well structured, presented and delivered. Judith is a fantastic orator!, I will be certainly registering to future LQM sessions. Many thanks" (Consultant)

"The amount of information covered - I feel much better informed about the whole groundwater DQRA process." (Consultant)
“The whole course was very enlightening, as I usually read the results of such assessment. It was great to see and understand the process of reaching those results. I loved the practical’s, as it felt like you could put into practice the theory.” (Local Authority)
"A good all-round introduction to hydrogeological risk assessment. I left the course feeling confident in using RTM." (Consultant)
“I liked how we pushed through and got all the information covered.” (Consultant)
“Detailed, provided confidence in the approach to complete risk assessments.” (Consultant)
"I found the structure and presentation style of the course very good. The systematic way in which we were guided through the P20 / Hydrogeological Risk Assessment meant that I left the course having gained all the outcomes which i had hoped for. LQM trainer gave plenty of opportunities to us ask questions and was very helpful in answering as many as possible. Lunch was also very nice!" (Consultant)
