Webinar Recording: Practical application of advanced methods of analysis of continuous gas monitoring data

High frequency (‘continuous’) gas and environmental monitoring data has been possible since the late 1990s. The real value has only been fully realised in the past few years with the advent of continuous flow monitoring and combining the data with meteorological information. Such data can be invaluable in completing risk assessments when used in conjunction with a robust gas conceptual site model (gCSM). It allows a more robust assessment of whether gas mitigation measures are required and if they are it can minimise the scope. However, the analysis and interpretation of continuous data is often basic and does not maximise the value in the data.

This ~90min recording is of a Technical Briefing Webinar originally delivered on the 7th June 2019 and includes the Q&A session at the end of the webinar (Note: only access to the recording will be provided. The original handouts are not included).  The webinar was delivered by Steve Wilson who is Technical Director of the Environmental Protection Group (EPG) Limited. Steve has authored numerous technical papers and publications and provided training relating to gassing issues over many years. Steve will provide insight into the correct application of this important, but often poorly applied, British Standard.

The webinar covered:

  • what continuous monitoring data can you use
  • when should you be using continuous monitoring data
  • what methods of analysis can be used for continuous data
  • practical examples of using continuous data

At the end of the webinar, you will:

  • improve confidence in prediction of "worst case concentration" and "worst case scenario" using continuous gas data at your sites
  • understand on what sites to use continuous gas data
  • understand advanced methods of analysis of continuous gas data
  • know where to look for further information

KeyCSM Two Hour Online Training

KeyCSM Two Hour Online Training

A two hour one to one online training session on using KeyCSM.

On purchasing the training, you will be contacted by LQM to discuss your level of experience with KeyCSM.

Training can comprise:
