Buried Treasure is an artificial intelligence-powered document processing services that extract data from PDF documents. Buried Treasure is provided by Land Quality Management Limited (LQM). Buried Treasure is available via LQM’s subdomain bt.lqm.co.uk (the “Site”).
This Privacy Policy describes how LQM (the “Site” or “we”) collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information when you visit or make a purchase from bt.lqm.co.uk. Some information relating to bt.lqm.co.uk is made available via our main website www.lqm.co.uk which has its own privacy policy.
The Site also contains links to other websites. Once you have used these links to leave the Site, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this Privacy notice.

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

Your Document Data
Your Document Data comprises
· Documents you upload for processing
· Extracted data viewable on the Site
· Downloadable data
We process your Your Document Data solely to provide the extracted data to you. Your Document Data are not used for AI model training by LQM or by the external APIs we use to assist with processing.
How Our AI Systems Work
Artificial intelligence is used to automatically extract text, data, and structured information from uploaded PDF documents. Our service uses as AI pipeline including accessing external APIs and local models hosted on our servers.
AI Limitations
AI extraction can make mistakes. It is the user’s responsibility to review the outputs.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
Third-Party Service Providers
We share personal data with carefully selected third party service providers who process data on our behalf:
· Digital Ocean (London data centre) provides servers for cloud hosting, secure data storage and service delivery
· Llamaindex and Anthropic provide APIs used as part of our AI pipeline to process Your Document Data.
· Stripe provides credit card and billing services
International Data Transfers
Your personal data is primarily stored and processed in the United Kingdom through our hosting provider Digital Ocean's London data center. When we use third-party APIs for document processing, data may be transferred internationally.
Data Retention
When you provide data to the Site, we, and therefore our cloud hosting service Digital Ocean, will retain your Personal Information and Your Document Data for our records indefinitely unless and until you ask us to erase this information or closure of the Site.
Your Document Data is stored by Anthropic, for as long as it takes to extract the data and by Llamaindex for 48 hours after processing completion.
Personal information relating to orders is retained by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy.
Your Document Data will remain available in your account until you close / delete the account or the Site closes. You will be able to access Your Document Data even if you have no credits or your subscription is inactive.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of information that’s downloaded to your computer or device when you visit our Site.
When you visit the Site, no cookies are used. This may change in the future at which point this section would be updated to reflect the change.
Your rights in relation to your personal data
As a data subject whose personal data is being processed by LQM, you have the following rights:

In most cases, there will be no fee charged for making a request to us. We will act on requests received without undue delay and in any event within one month of receiving it.
