Calculating Credits

Credits  are calculated by the system based on:

·         the amount of text on a PDF which goes into the model

·         the amount of information reported out of the model

·         whether the input PDF is text based or image based (scanned)

The following provides you with some idea of how credits are calculated.

Text based PDFs

One page = 1 credit is not a bad starting point for a trial pit log or many one page borehole logs, however, a 5 page lightly worded log might only take 3 credits to process. On the other hand, a one page densely worded log may take more than 1 credit.

A certificate of analysis is actually much more densely covered with text and we want to extract most of the information.  Therefore a one page certificate of analysis usually costs more credits than a one page borehole logs, e.g. 3 credits each.

Image based PDFs

Image based pdfs use extra credits (2 credits per page) so a one page image based borehole log PDF would be 3 credits.

These are just examples, actual credits depends on the PDFs the user uploads.
