Small is beautiful: can NanoRemediation be sustainable remediation?

LQM’s Judith Nathanail travelled to Oslo (NORWAY) in early December 2014 to take part in the NanoRem workshop on sustainability and market opportunities of nanoremediation technology.

The aim of the workshop was to build a cross-sectorial view of available markets and key sustainability and ethical concerns related to nanoremediation across a range of stakeholder opinions. The workshop will inform an improved understanding of the perceptions of land managers, consultants, technology contractors, planners and regulators of the market opportunities for (near, medium and long term), the likely sustainability of and any ethical concerns about nanoremediation.

Judith set the scene with a presentation on “Contaminated Land Management and Risk Assessment.
