Judith NathanailJudith Nathanail is Company Secretary, a Senior Environmental Consultant of Land Quality Management Ltd and a Research Fellow in SChEME at the University of Nottingham. She runs the Industrial Processes Module on the EPSRC IGDS sponsored part-time MSc in Contaminated Land Management. She has thirteen years experience in the field of contaminated land and has projected managed numerous site investigations. She contributes to several courses run by LQM, principally geology, site characterisation, risk assessment and remediation.
She has produced numerous conceptual models and carried out site specific risk assessments using the recently released SNIFFER methodology. She has been involved in a range of remediation projects including excavation and disposal, soil vapour extraction, air sparging and one of the first bioremediation schemes for the UK. Among other things she is currently working on developing an aide memoir of key information for contaminated land specialists covering many risk characterisation and risk assessment tools and providing essential data for designing remediation schemes for most of the currently available remediation techniques.
