Caroline McCaffrey

Head of Contaminated Land

Caroline McCaffrey is Head of Contaminated Land at LQM.

Caroline holds a degree in Environmental Health and a MSc in Contaminated Land Management. Before joining LQM, Caroline worked in the UK as a Local Authority Environmental Health Officer and overseas as a technical adviser to a Non Governmental Organisation in Bangladesh.

Her current and recent projects include

• Sensitivity analysis for the SNIFFER Framework for deriving numeric targets to minimise the adverse human health effects of long-term exposure to contaminants in soil (Scottish Environment Protection Agency)
• Secondary model procedure on the use of risk assessment tools for deriving site specific assessment criteria for the protection of human health
• Site specific risk assessment and peer review for a variety of sites
• Estimating the arisings of specific waste streams (Environment Agency)
